How to Tuesday: How to Boost Your Google Ads Quality Score Fast

When it comes to running successful Google Ads campaigns, your Quality Score (QS) plays a pivotal role. The higher your QS, the more Google regards your ads as relevant to consumers. So, if you're looking to improve your Google Ads performance quickly, focusing on your Quality Score is a smart move.

Understanding Google Ads Quality Score

Google's QS is a metric that evaluates the relevance and quality of your keywords, ad copy, and landing pages. It's measured on a scale from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest score. Three main factors influence your QS:

1. Click-through rate (CTR): The percentage of users who click on your ad.

2. Ad relevance: How closely your ad copy aligns with the keywords you're targeting.

3. Landing page experience: The quality and relevance of the page users land on after clicking your ad.

Factors that will improve your score

Here are some actionable steps to boost your Google Ads Quality Score quickly.

Optimising keywords

Use Google's Keyword Planner to find high-quality, relevant keywords for your ads. Keep in mind, however, that your keywords mustn’t be too broad or too niche – try to find a middle ground. Keywords should be strategically placed in your ad copy and on your landing page to potentially increase your CTR.

Restructuring ads

When your ads are grouped by theme, it increases the chance of them being considered relevant by Google. Do this by grouping your ads according to target audience, keyword, and other factors.

Improving landing pages

Your landing page should provide a seamless user experience, so it must load quickly and be mobile-responsive. A major factor Google notices is a relevant connection between an ad and its landing page. Therefore, make it easy for users to find what they're looking for, and consider A/B testing different landing page versions to see what works best.
